This tour was awesome! Our guide, Alberto, is a knowledgeable and charismatic storyteller. This was the last tour of our vacation and it was perfect. And again, lunch was awesome! Thanks Alberto and Coyote Canyon Adventures!

We toured the site with Dr. Albert Coffee. Fascinating tour and it's interesting because they are still learning more. Highly recommended.

This ancient pyramid was a fascinating half-day excursion about a half hour from San Miguel de Allende. Our guide was Albert Coffee, an expert on the site and Meso-American anthropology and archeology. He was a wealth of information about this ancient site and all of the solar and lunar implications inherent in the pyramid's construction and use. Climbing the pyramid... More

This was a nice afternoon excursion from San Miguel. I like the tour. Make sure you have an English speaking guide. Good history here. This is not Rome so don't have those expectations and you will have a good time. The down side is that you have an exceptionally long walk over hills to get to the ruins. Don't go... More

Canada de Virgen is about 30 minutes by taxi from San Miguel. We arrived about 10:30 and then discovered that since access is restricted, we had to join a guided tour at 11AM which lasts 2.5 hours. Some of our group did not want to spend so much time but we stayed. The tour guide, as far as we could... More

The best way to see the pyramid is to go with a guide since you must go through private property to get there. We went with Albert Coffee who was terrific and I would recommend. It's about a 4 hr excursion including the 25 minutes it takes to get there and back. You should be in good shape because there... More

I booked a tour with Albert Coffee. As others have mentioned, you take a bus to the site and another bus and then walk about 1 or 2 kilometers each way. I found the walk very pleasant because you get a taste of the scenery outside the city. The tour was excellent. I think the standard tour is 4.5 hours,... More

A small archeological site on the outskirts of San Miguel de Allende. Visitors need to park in the visitors centre and the site's bus takes them to the drop off point (1km away from the pyramid). Visitors are not allowed to take handbags, bags or backpacks to the site. However, bottled water is allowed. The guided tour of the site... More
