I went during the Day of the Dead celebration, but it wasn't very crowded. Our group of older adults thoroughly enjoyed seeing the various floors of toys of all kinds. Many were very creative and made from unusual materials. Very well displayed and interesting. A wonderful afternoon!

The museum was thorough and interesting, but it's a tough place to be when it's crowded, as it was at Christmas. We had hoped to find gifts for our young friends there but found their gift shop overpriced and understocked.

Interesting place to understand where and how Mexican toys were made from a time long gone! Very attractive for the kids!

Our family of 5 enjoyed an hour-long visit to this well-appointed, highly organized toy museum. The exhibits are numerous and are very colorful--be sure to visit all of the floors and go out on the top terrace for a great view of San Miguel. There are a couple interactive exhibits, but it's a pity there aren't a few more. Yet,... More

This was a small, building with 3 floors easily accessible a few blocks from the main plaza. I loved how the rooms were either organized by theme or by geographic region. It was busy but not so packed I couldn't take my time in front of each display. There is also a cute playroom for younger kids after "not touching"... More

The toy museum is a great source of two things - first it has an excellent collection of classic Mexican toys. They are displayed well on three floors. Second, it has a great shop for current toys.

I was surprised how big the museum was and how interesting the collection was. I was able to buy a paper mache doll in the little shop too.

I would highly suggest the Toy Museum in San Miguel, MX. There are 4 floors of hand made toys that will fascinate you! Very inexpensive as well.

Rooms and rooms of the best of Mexican folk art - unpretentious, not catering to the tourist market (nice relief that) and truly beautiful. Some true treasures to be found here, not to be missed!
