My wife and I, both avid weekend riders went to San Miguel de Allende for a long weekend to celebrate our wedding anniversary. I contacted Alberto (Beto), the owner of Bici-burro through his website. He offered different bicycle excursions alternatives and we settled for a 27km ride visiting the must see church at Atotonilco as well as a ride through... More

I called Bici Burro and they gave me great tips and advice for riding around San Miguel even though I wasn't a costumer. They gave me and my family routes and great places to ride on for free. Great views roads and routes for mountain bike riding, definitely a must do!

I wish I had photos to share of my amazing bike tour with Bici-Burro. Alberto, the owner and our guide took us on mountain bikes to the countryside just minutes outside of San Miguel de Allende. We cycled on dirt trails through the amazing beauty of the high desert. Alberto stopped periodically to tell us stories and history of the... More

Three of us went on tour #2 with Beto and really had a great time. We enjoyed our stop at Antotonilco where Beto gave us a passionate historical summary of the Sanctuary and town. The chapel area is especially beautiful. Then we were off for 20 KM. Beto was very patient with us and shared information on the flora and... More

My family did option No. 2 with Bici-Burro. The day out of the city was a good change of pace. Of note, this "easy to moderate ride" was 14 miles, the first half of which was uphill. My children, who are all athletic did very well and enjoyed this day a lot. Being a bit older, I found this ride... More

We did the Gruta hot springs tour. This tour really was 4-5 hours! It is some wide single track and cobble stone through villages and out in the countryside with sheep, goats and cows!! Was really wonderful and Alberto is great as well as the bikes. Lots of up and down and some very steep up/down-I chose to walk my... More

Just back from a week long stay in San Miguel. We rented bikes for a week with a group from Beto. He is very knowledgeable, friendly and speaks English very well. His bikes are high quality. If you want to see parts of this area that you can't see by car and enjoy cycling I 100% recommend guided tours with... More

My friend and I took a private day-long bike trip around the outskirts of San Miguel. It was just about the most expensive thing we did in Mexico ($85 USD per person) but we felt like the cost was worth it. Truly, what we got for the money (bike rentals, guided tour, transportation to and from the trailhead, water and... More

Had a great time mountain biking outside San Miguel. Beto is a terrific tour guy with a lot of knowledge about the area. Bikes are high quality and the ride we went on was a really fun challenge! We finished the day taking a well earned rest in the hot springs.

Pretty fun bike ride. It ain't all downhill, so make sure you are in decent shape, LOL! Alberto was fun, friendly and spoke perfect English. Great way to see SMA! My favorite part was riding through those rural neighborhoods and saying hello to the people there. One tour had us ending at the spa, La Gruta. This time we skipped... More
