A special square

Buzzing day and night. A place to people watch, eat be entertained and marvel at the stunning architecture. San Miguel doesn't have many 5 star sights. THIS is the sight.

This was en excellent place to stay for the festival of the Dia de los Muertos. In this town you can feel the real life of the common Mexican and his different festivals they are celebrating all over the year without making a commercial show for the tourist.

The Zocalo is in front of the Parroquia where weddings seem to be non stop with parades of celebrants marching with bands and tall puppets leading the parade, each celebrant with a cup for the free pouring tequila. Lots of street merchants selling their wares and refreshments and... More

This is a beautiful little plaza for people watching, culture and experiencing real Mexico. There is constant action and you never know what kinds of interesting things or people you will see.
