We made a reservation by email this past summer for a whale-watching excursion on a Thursday in July 2014. When we arrived 20 minutes early prior to the 10 AM departure, we found the building closed. We waited... and we waited... but no one showed up! We spoke with another tour operator who said that he saw the captain earlier... More

We made a reservation for two people of their tour just shy of a month prior to our visit, as their website promised a discounted rate for advance bookings. When we arrived, however, we were told that the person that took our reservation "doesn't actually work here". In fact, when we first told them that we were there for the... More

We must have seen over 70 pilot whales and its babies. the bay was full of them and they came so close to our boat. the tour operator made sure that he very tactfully eased the speed boat to very near the whales. The ride was thrilling as he touched high speeds going to the mouth of the St Lawrence... More

We arrived at pleasant Bay late in the day and limbo Cove was the only tour left with space so we went out with them. We went out with our two young children (4 and 6 years old). The water was calm, but but the boat bounced a bit with the small waves and wake from other boats. Both kids... More

You will not be disappointed if you choose a tour with Captain Q of Limbo Cove! We lucked out with a really nice day in October, close to Thanksgiving. Captain Q took us out on the zodiac, which if you have never been on one is a little bumpy but really fun! I really enjoyed zipping around the Atlantic and... More

The 2 gentleman who work at Limbo Cove Whale Watching Tours in Pleasant Bay are both very friendly, informative and laid back! My wife and I were the only 2 people in the Zodiac with our captain, which I was very happy with, as other tours seemed to be crowded. Other tours we have been on that had crowds on... More

There are a few companies that do zodiac tours in pleasant bay, but we were glad we went with Limbo Cove. Our boat had 4 people in it, whereas the other boats were packed with 16+ people. Highly recommend Limbo Cove if you'd rather not be packed like a sardine in a boat, We saw pilot whales, seals and 'diving... More

A whale watching excursion was not on our agenda but the day was beautiful so we decided we needed to do one. Although there were only the two of us, this company willingly took us out. A zodiac tour is the only way to go, the ride was so exciting. The seas were rolling which only added to the exhileration... More

We took the excursion in July with two kids:4 year old and teenager. Whale watching was a highlight of our trip to Cape Breton, absolutely must see! We had only 3 days on the Island, so unfortunately it was rainy day, but even though the trip was worth every dollar spent. We saw a many whales, and they were so... More

We went out with this group a day after excursions were cancelled due to wind. I am not sure if that issue pressured the crew to go out on our day or not, but the trip out was harrowing for my husband trying to hold on to our 5 year old in the zodiac. The boat was launching several feet... More
