We scheduled a whale watching cruise for July 1st. Our daughter emailed and received several email communications about our reservation. Arrived and no one was there. Were told by others from the area that this tour has not even started operating this season and their boat isn’t even in the water!! So disappointing and frustrating as we scheduled our day around this.

Hello We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you as for the day in mention our Vessel was out for inspections from Transport Canada, We did however send out emails to all our customers relaying we were closed. We apologize for not being able to take your group out to watch whales with us but your safety is our #1 concern,

our reservation was cancelled but they never told us! We drove over 2 hours and it was supposed to be a highlight of our vacation. no communication from them until we emailed them that they forgot about us!

A great time especially with dogs!

We chose this boat tour because they were the only ones that we could find that allowed dogs on board and since we were travelling with our two dogs, that was super important. We're so glad we went with Guaranteed Whales! They were all so friendly and helpful and knowledgeable. You can tell they all love what they do and really put their heart into it. Our dogs also had a great time (they were so at ease they took a nap halfway through!). We saw pilot whales and travelled with them for quite a while.

Perfect and truly memorable

Just returned from a two week vacation in Nova Scotia and Cape Breton and the main highlight for our family was this whale watching tour. First off, they are quick to respond, super friendly and extremely professional. Second, my senior brother in law was afraid of water and chose to skip the tour. Alison, one of the owners, then offered a chance for him to go for free because she guaranteed a safe and enjoyable ride, as well as whales. For someone who used to be afraid of water, he couldn’t stop smiling and said that it was his favourite part of the whole trip! It was wonderful. Third, we really enjoyed the captain and co-captain Jacob, and all of their knowledge on local places to go for adventure. We even saw a family of pilot whales and my daughter was so happy. I also liked that we could go to the nearby whale translation centre while we waited for the tour to begin. I will also say that our boat had the most smiles when our tour finished compared to other people getting off other boats. We took pics of all of us afterwards and the whole experience reminded me of true Cape Breton kindness!!

Great trip

We had a great time on the whale watching cruise yesterday, my two adult daughters and two grandchildren age 10 and 6 really enjoyed our trip. We had been on two other whale watching trips before and had not seen anything but a seal sitting on a rock. We were out for two hours and at least 45 minutes of that was stopped between two pods of whales. We saw at least a dozen whales playing around us 3-4 at a time fins above water. The crew was very nice and of course the scenery was great with the crew explaining all the features and history of the land.

Amazing experience!- A MUST DO!!

This was an incredible experience! We were greeted by a fabulous lady named Alli(and we bonded over having the same name ;) ). Alli was so kind and told us to try the last ride of the day, as they are in no hurry to come back and the sunset is amazing. Boy oh boy was she right! We were out for over 2 hours, we saw an incredible sunset, and the captain cruised close to the coast on the way back so we could see the seals! The captain and first mate were very knowledgeable and so friendly! The first mate is very funny and extremely personable. They genuinely wanted us to see whales and actively chased pods so we could get the best up-close views! They were respectful to wildlife and their environment. The captain even put a echo location device in the water so we could listen to the whales when they dove down!
This was an amazing experience and we will definitely be back. Thank you all so much!

Fantastic must-do experience on the Cabot Trail

We had a great time using Guaranteed Whales in Pleasant Bay, Nova Scotia. The friendliness of the staff and commitment to giving us a great experience is one I have not seen often. This is definitely a place that I would revisit to see whales.

We were on the 11:30 am boat out and the captain mentioned that they were not lucky with seeing whales in the morning. This is where their commitment to a great experience came through as they took us out an additional 12 miles than what they would normally travel. Due to this, we were able to see a large pod of Pilot Whales which gave us memories we will not soon forget. Guaranteed whales is also PET FRIENDLY which is an added bonus for travelers visiting with their furry friends.

Thank you Guaranteed Whales for the great experience!

An amazing experience. Staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. Let me and my family sit on the boat out of the sun before the tour. Full of knowledge and respectful to the wildlife. Seen several families of pilot whales, lots with young in tow. Would recommend.

Absolutely a must if you in cabot trail!

Starting from buying the tickets to the whole tour was absolutely perfect. The owner is amazing. She is kind and very friendly. The captain and jake was awesome too. We probably saw 20 whales! My kids were happy/ safe vessel for young children. Really enjoyed our tour.
