Fiddling whales tour is temporarily closed. I was informed that it was bought off from the captain that works for guaranteed whales tours (formerly Wesley whale tour). I don't know when it will operational, but I went there 10 years ago in 2004 on their zodiac boat and had a blast. So far I have went to two other whale... More

This review is for the Keltic Express Zodiac Adventures, the affiliate zodiac tour of Fiddlin Whale Tours. WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS TOUR COMPANY TO ANY TOURISTS! They cancelled our trip without calling anyone! They did leave a handwritten note there, but it got all soggy that it kind of folded down and nobody saw it. The least you would expect... More

I traveled through cape Breton with my wife and four kids. We stumbled across this place and were glad we did! Captain Stan promised us some whales and kept his promise! His music was very old timey, and enjoyable!! It was 4th of July weekend and he played us some great patriotic fiddle music. It really seemed like the whales... More

We weren't sure how our family of five would enjoy being on a crowded boat, possibly for several hours ISO whales, and especially as two of us tend toward motion sickness. So, we opted to charter the boat at day's end for just our family. We had a lovely time. The views alone were gorgeous, especially at sunset. Stan's fiddling... More

Stan and his first-mate Chris did an admirable job trying to track the only three whales that had been spotted in the bay that day. Stan extended our excursion in order to keep up the search, and we were finally rewarded by a beautiful group of pilot whales that played close to the boat while we snapped pictures. Stan brought... Spent about 2 hours out on the boat seeing whales. We were out a bit longed than usual as the whales were further away. Boat was relatively full but Stan made sure that everyone gig to see the whales and had good opportunities to take photos. Boat turned so both sides could see. Stan was good with info and seemed... I know that they can't control the weather, but the "Captain" would have played his fiddle during the trip had it not been raining...which would have boosted the score for sure. The Location - In Pleasant Bay NS, we took out a retrofitted fishing boat. You start in the little harbour and then headed out to the Gulf of the... More

It was a great tour of the whales when we went yesterday, it was worth the price and they had lots of info about the whales. They went as close as they could get to the whales and they stopped the boat so the view was great! :D

If you are on the Cabot Trail stop by Pleasant Bay and take the Fiddlin Whale Tour. This was our 2nd time on the same tour, once about 7 years ago and again Aug 2012 and we'd go again! The crew are funny and knowledgeable and the captain does his best to give everyone great views/photo ops. Stan played his... More

Had a lovely trip to view the whales, although they can not confirm any sightings we went further out in calm waters and located several pods. The crew was great and very good with the kids on the trip too. Would recommend
