We spent an afternoon exploring Rosemarkie, visiting the Fairy Glen, and watching for dolphins, but I must say this was the highlight! To experience such ancient and beautiful art up close like this is inspiring. The replica Pictish harp was a lovely touch. I love that the displays are interactive. The staff was very warm and knowledgeable, their love for... More

Stunning artwork. The Pictish stones are beautiful and in such good condition. They are very well displayed at the museum and the patterns on the stones stand out well.

This is a tiny museum packed with interesting info, the stones were impressive and the interactive displays informative. There is even the chance to try out some rubbings with paper and crayons which my girls liked.

Knew nothing about the Picts until I went to this small treasure of a museum. The gentleman who worked here was beyond friendly and knowledgeable. He shared and taught us so much about the exhibits and history. Worth a stop...parking right around the corner.

Great collection of Pictish stones. It's free and staffed by very knowledgeable volunteers. Douglas Munro was there during our visit and we learnt so much from him. I recommend this for everyone including kids.

A tiny museum with a wealth of contents. Especially important for Pictish stones which are well displayed and explained. Excellent small bookshop and shop. Interesting video upstairs. Friendly staff (volunteers?). Clearly a much-loved place and a credit to those who run it. Parking available nearby, and a visit to the museum can easily be combined with a walk to Chanonry... More
