The finest example of the Baroque in the western hemisphere. The best time to come here is when the sun is setting because when it comes through the rotunda windows, it bathes everything in the chapel in a stunning, golden glow you'll never see any other time of day. Stick around until about 6:00 PM, and they turn on the... More

It was one of the most amazing visited places while being in Puebla. I would say it's a hidden pearl of the old town. The chapel is small, but gorgeous with extravagant interior. It was really worth to see even personally I'm not kind of person visiting churches :)

The chapell, inside the non too shabby Church of Santo Domingo, is a masterpiece of Mexican Baroque, with its intricate, gold leaf covered carvings and frescoes. The church was built between 1571 and 1611 and the chapel shortly afterwards, and it is no wonder it took them 40 years. Interestingly, this is part of a still working monastery and you... More

This site is a must see while in Puebla ... truly a beautifully kept gilded treasure. No flash photos of course, however, the light from the chapel will reflect on the gold and illuminate your photos in some glorious ways. Check the hours so that you can get inside the chapel itself, sit awhile to take it all in.

As a northern european protestant, I should probably say that this is jut too OTT, but WOW!!! Absolutely amazing, gilded, ornamentation and huge pained scenes from the bible history. And the centre piece with the virgin Mary is stunning. Must see!

The Rosary Chapel is located about 5 min walking from the main square of the city. To see it you need about 15min max. It is for free and it deserves to be n.1 in trip advisor of Puebla city

The chapel is indescribable and a must see. I wish I had gotten there a bit earlier. I knew the chapel closed at 12:45 and had plenty of time to see it, but did not account for the groups that would be at the front, blocking an unhindered view. I tried to wait them out but with so much to... More

It's a block from Zocalo, free, and beautifully constructed. I'm not one for churches, but the architecture is pretty spectacular!

Didn't actually get in because the opening hours of the church in which the Chapel is are tricky when it is not Saturday/Sunday. During the week on most days the church is closed mid-day. And I couldn't find the hours online. See attached photo for the hours...which I just added to this listing :)

It is a most seeing location, if you go make the time to stay 10 minutes to listen to the Tour guide there they are amazing and really friendly. They explain you about the Capilla. Doesn't take that long and you learn and see more than if you only step in and out it was worth it to sit and... More
