Beautiful, huge, soft sandy beach accented by huge jagged cliffs & rocks -- wow! And hardly anybody there! Swimming is possible, but not recommended... Heavy waves and undertow... be careful. There is a lifeguard. Also a beach club that was very nice for $3 per day! Yes 60 pesos = $3 admission. Unbelievable! Nice pools, tables, chairs, umbrellas, restaurant &... More

Expansive white sand beach. Relatively under serviced, hence the least crowded to the point of almost deserted; especially the northern (western) 3/4 stretch. At the southern (eastern) end, 2 hotel-run beach clubs (Villasol & Coco's) tastefully set back in the treeline, open to non-residents for very reasonable fee, daily/season passes. At the extreme eastern (south) end a hotel (Mexicano Villas)... More

Wonderful experience of seeing and participating in the baby turtle release at 5:00 pm daily. The beach however, is like Zicatela, with strong surf and waves. I cannot recommend for swimming as the waves have a very strong undertow. And I lost a pair of eye glasses because of that.

This is a mostly deserted beach and excellent for a long secluded walk. The picture taking on the rocks is amazing. They are spectacular with the waves crashing in and the salt spray leaping up! You can get some really great shots. Generally too rough for swimming, Another wonderful find in the area

Lovely beach for walks and relaxing but you can't swim here because of the rocks. A couple of nice bars/cafes

My favourite beach for a walk - miles of white sand and crashing waves. If you enjoy a beach for solitude this a good one to go walk on

For 60 pesos you can't get a better deal. A palapas, drinks, pool, beach and clear blue skies made our trip there with our daughters truly enjoyable and relaxing. The high-lite of the day was watching the release of baby turtles into the ocean; a truly wonderful experience. Can't wait to visit it again when we return to Puerto Escondido.

Great Beach - There was 2 people on the beach only. Great for a morning walking and on the beach is a restaurant called Pez Gallo

The beach itself is beautiful, the waves are often to big to swim (check the conditions first) but then they're good to surf. There is a place where you can help baby turtles make their way to the ocean, please remember not to touch them though. To do this, come at 5pm (donation of 50 peso per person is required)... More
