This was our departure point for a boat cruise, so glad we stayed for food (garlic shrimp) and tequila sunrises.

I was drawn to this beach because the waves in zicatela can be intimidating at the least. When I arrived I realized that this looked more like a pool than a beach and it was packed with people. It was difficult to even find a section of water to swim in. There are a lot of locals around here as... More

Nice little beach with warm clean water, little restaurants and amazing views. Have a delicious coconut or beer and watch beautiful sunset.

This is a rare beach in Puerto Escondido where the waves are not strong. It is a picturesque cove with gentle water where the locals seem to come to the beach. Power boats pull in and out all the time, but know how to avoid the swimmers. There are a couple little restaurants, we had such a nice time... it's... More

This special quaint beach has local families with their palapas serving food and drinks for years. The prices are economical and we always feel welcome. The bay is generally calm so perfect for snorkeling with few surfers. We loved having a swim and cerviche here everyday during our stay at Hotel Ben-zaa which is just up the hill - approx... More

Worth visiting if you in Puerto for few days, mainly food wise. Beach is thiny and unbelievably overcrowded.

This is a busy port for some of the commercial and sport fishing fleet in Puerto Escondido. There is a lot of traffic on the water which all comes ashore eventually since there is no actual dock. It's a busy place and, as such, the beach isn't really great for sunning and/or swimming. The boaters seem very aware of the... More

This beach is crowded with people and boats. It is small and not well maintained. I would look for another beach

Don't waste time going to Puerto Angelito/Manzanillo - just go to Playa Carrizalillo if you want to swim. There are a TON of boats here, and you are apparently supposed to just swim in between them. There is garbage in the water, dead fish on shore, and green algae...or something...all over the place. There's also a bunch of restuarant owners... More

A beautiful beach with calmer water, snorkel rentals, food and tidal pools to see a wide variety of fish. Parking in the street is free even though some may ask you pay. There is a dirt lot above that is free too and has an easy to walk path to both sides of the beach.

I hire a taxi to take me to the beach rather than walk down the the loads of tourist buses. I also arrived early to beat the bulk of tourists who come from all over. It was a hot day and still school holidays so it was busy. it was definietly worth going though and enjoyed the sights and sounds... More
