A friend and I visited Brackendale Spa for their Early Bird experience. We were warmly greeted by one of the co-owners and instantly felt relaxed with the beautifully decorated lounge area. We had warm croissants and brioche sumptuously presented. Everything felt totally great. We then had an amazing back massage each. Shared the room which was great as we didn't... More

I first need to comment on many of the 'negative' reviews - Lets give these girls credit for fabulous attentiveness to the clients, amazing location and one of the best massages ever. Decor is tranquil and tasteful.and they aim to please. Granted they may not have the best changing rooms in the world - is it really the be all... More

First visit to the spa was a with my mum, first impressions were good. It is a beautiful setting and the spa is cosy. However finding our way up to the spa was difficult as there was no signs! Pool and sauna area was filthy, no consultation card was asked to be filled out meaning they didn't know any details... More

The 'spa' afternoon was let down by the poor facilities and disappointing afternoon tea which consisted of paper thin small triangle sandwiches of cheese spread, wafer thin ham and egg mayo together with low quality shop bought cakes & scones!! I have been before and the quality of the food has definitely gone down. The changing rooms were very cold... More

A friend and I decided a full days pampering was needed and we booked into Brackendale Spa. We had been asked if we would be happy to have our treatments in the morning due to one of the girls leaving early and we said that would be fine. We were greeted and taken up to the spa area. (It's situated... More

I originally wrote a note on the Facebook page for the spa as they have no review facility on there. It has been deleted so you can only see the positive comments. This spa would be great if you were a guest of the holiday cottages or on a day you had it to yourself perhaps. Also fine if you... More

We had a spa treatment afternoon with 3 treatments - I would say they are some of the best massages I have had. The place was smaller than I thought and not quite what I was expecting but I should have read more about it, it was unfortunately quite noisy from the pool during one of my treatments and I... My mother and I have been to the spa twice now with two different packages. Both times we got the place to ourselves, had time at the pool and sauna as well as a couple of treatments. Brilliant value to money!! The two women working there are brilliant and very accommodating. A great treat that I'll recommend to everyone. Planning... More

The spa itself is set in a quite cottage resort. There is no front entrance and you are required to ring a bell and someone will come to collect you as you are waiting in a games room area. Once inside we were given a robe and towel. No slippers. The changing area is akin to a 1970s PE changing... More

Thank you for taking the time to give us some feedback. We are sorry the experience was not as you expected. On our website we are clear that we are situated in a complex of holiday cottages. Much of the feedback we receive is that clients appreciate the quiet country setting and the lovely surrounding views. We appreciate that our... More
