Nice little museum in a beautiful artistically modern building. Some very nice sculptures, modern pieces of art, and drawings make up the collection. Worth a visit.

The large sculptures by Federico Silva remind me of transformers. Which came first the sculptures or the transformers, I do not know. The design of the museum is top notch.

I have been to hundreds of museums, but never have seen a place like Museo Silva Federico dedicated to sculptures only. Very well laid out and presentation of the artwork of Federico Silvo who I never had heard about before. I was skeptical when I...More

The building itself is worth a visit but Silva's sculptures are amazing - and evocative of other, ancient Mexican sculpture and ruins. A must to visit in this marvellous city.

Excellent sculpture museum of a renowned regional sculptor! Really cool to see a lot of sculptures with Native Indigenous Mexican influence!

I had never even heard of sculptor Federico Silva until I walked into this museum, located in exquisitely restored former school and hospital. I particularly enjoyed the juxtaposition of the classic lines of the building with the looming modernity of Silva's creations.

The museum's dedicated to sculpture (or it was when I visited) and it's quite impressive. The first floor is occupied by the concrete works of Silva, and the upstairs had a beautiful exhibit of metal sculptures that complimented Silva's works nicely.

We had never heard of the sculptor before, and took a chance, and we are now big fans. This museum is so amazing from the monumental sculptures that capture the flavor of the pre-Hispanic icons to the beautiful setting that they are displayed in. This...More
