Tropical feeling in Crete

The gorgeous turquoise water and the pink sand. You must experience it. It is a bit off track, but the ride is worth it.

Incredible Elafonissi is a place that cannot be missed. The beach, truly is beautiful. Crystal clear water and pink sand; a perfect combination. One of the best beaches we've ever been to!

Turquoise and crystal clear water. On the shallow side the water is warmer. Even if there are not a lot of pink sand this place is still worth a visit.

End April , it's one of the best places as beach. Also check the north path from the parking lot. The season isn't started so toilet buildings are closed and filthy, because the tourist season hasn’t started you won’t find any beach beds and no umbrella’s.

Surely one of the very best beaches in the whole of Greece? The white sands sprinkled with pink that contrast so perfectly with the ultramarine of the sea. The 'almost island' with its sandy side and its rocky side. All this adds up to a truly unforgettable experience. BUT - we visited on a lovely weekday in March, and there... More

Beautiful beach - and definitely not one I expected to find in Greece. Shallow, clear water and soft sand. There is a lot of space, so even on a weekend it was not too crowded. The drive there is beautiful, we took one road there and a different one back and enjoyed this almost as much as the beach. Bring... More

Stunning scenery during the drive to this beautiful part of the island. Absolutely breathtaking! Elafonissi beach is magnificent but, the facilities are very poor and do not cater for the vast number of tourists that visit. The toilets are disgusting and inadequate for number of people. Basically a handful of portaloos that ran out of toilet paper by 11:00. Good... More

Although we arrived relatively early (10.45 a.m.) and there were only about 10 people in the area, by the time we walked back from the 'island' it was like Blackpool at it's worst, with sunbeds everywhere, people playing music, swilling lager cans, etc., etc. The walk all the way to the 'island' hill with the church was amazing, because we...
