We had a nice 2 hour tour during early season so it was a "private" tour. Our guide, D-man was very good showing us fossils and things and helping us understand the history and development of Joggins Fossil Cliffs. We saw many different fossils, footprints...More

This is a great spot for anyone interested in history, geology or the beach. Worth the minimal cost to stroll through the info center and have a tour guide on the beach to learn about the fossils. This is a great experience for all ages.

One needs to visit Joggins at low tide in order to beach comb for fossils. You may not remove them as it is prohibited, but each time the tide comes and goes, there is the likelihood that a new fossil has been uncovered or has...More

Due to the bad weather conditions we had not the opportunity to see the cliffs. But the museum itself is most interesting; it is small, modern, and you can spend easily more than one hour to examine the displays, fossils, etc. There are also some...More

Unfortunately we were not aware to check ahead of time for the tours. They are dependent on the tides. It looked very interesting but it was going to be 3 hrs before the next tour so we didn't stay. We did walk to the beach...More

We arrived early and spent a lot of time reading all the museum exhibits. We then took the 2 hour tour. It was excellent!

I had a great time at Joggins. Just arrived a bit toward the end of low tide and could not see the right side of the beach, which I was later told was the best part of the beach, with the most fossils to view....More

Off the beaten path; however, you'll not be disappointed. The best part of the $10.50 admission is the guided tour. Try to time your visit to low tide and a sunny day.

Permits are for research purposes only not for tourists to collects fossils. Permits are issued by the Province of Nova Scotia not by the Joggins centre.

A good 2 hours drive. They are almost directly across Bay of Fundy and Chignecto Bay from each other.

sorry, I just got this question. I haven't signed into Tripadvisor for a long time. I would totally skip the tour and just peruse the building. then go onto the beach yourself and walk around. Watch the tide, it comes in so... More
