We stumbled on this prieure while scouting bike routes near Cereste. It is in a quiet setting off a small road. The ruins attest to the impact of the great plague of 1348 throughout Europe and how entire communities got wiped out. This is a beautiful site, well worth a detour while in the area.

Well worth a visit for archeolical interest and the natural surroundings -wild flowers and butterflies, a field and small stream.

We walked here from our accommodation at Reillane as part of a walking holiday, so we were coming anyway but there is not much to it after a 2-hour hike. Nice, but not wonderful.

Quiet, stream, picnic tables, ruins and on a 'GR' so great to have a seat for a snack, dustbin needed emptying. It was a holiday week but not too busy

Totally off the beaten track, this ancient site was left to fall apart over the centuries. But it still has a mysterious allure- an ancient burial place with a strong spiritual atmosphere. Cool shade under the trees and green grass to sit on for a picnic.
