I stayed at Comala for few nights. Unfortunately because of rain and clouds almost didn't see the Volcano.Better to do it at the season. I took a private tour for 600 pesos, by Jupiter. Ask locals. Also it a nice towns near Volcano.

My husband and I went with family to hike up to the antennas, which is roughly around 12,000 ft. With absolutely no altitude training, I was able to make it to the antennas at a nice slow, pace. The road is nice and wide. The...More

The famous Volcano of Fire was quiet the day we visited, but the towering cinder cone was an impressive sight nonetheless. There are several places to pull over on the highway, offering a variety of perspectives, but these are not developed overlooks. Be sure to...More

We use to live near the volcano in 2004-2007 when it was only slightly active. Now, things are happening and often.

The most thrilling experience to be right there seeing it in person! The drive up was so beautiful, all the wild flowers and the view just spectacular. We are going back again before the rainy season! Just Epic!

I went in juin, rainseason and for that reason I couldn`t see the top of the volcano. It was too cloudy. But still I really loved it. The scenery is beautiful!

It's beautiful to hike from La Yerba Buena up the side of the volcano. It's especially majestic in the winter when there's some snow on the top. The view of the volcanoes from Colima are great.
