Overview
More
Sunshine Village sits high on the Continental Divide in the heart of Banff National Park, and is just minutes from the mountain town of Banff. Three sprawling mountains provide breathtaking sitelines, uninterrupted by any signs of civilization beyond the resort's leasehold. Ski or ride in Alberta and British Columbia in one run. Sunshine Village's seven-month season stretches from early November until late May - the longest non-glacial season in Canada. The Village's altitude of 7,082 feet ensures the snow stays dry. Sunshine can receive up to nine metres (30 feet) of snow in a season, and it stays all year.

We hiked the three lakes, trail had to be closed secondary to fires but we were so far into our hike we finished going the loop. Our experience staff was extremely helpful and friendly.

It's really exciting to be transported by a cabin to the actual resort, which gives it a remote location feel. The snow was good for December and staff very friend. I however preferred by far Lake Louise, Kicking Horse and Revelstoke!

My experience at Sunshine Village a few weeks ago makes me never want to go back. Staff were incredibly rude and argumentative. We had two staff tell us that going up the gondola was not worth it and would not sell us tickets to go...More

My wife and I recently stayed at the Sunshine Inn. We spent two nights and had an exceptional experience. The Sunshine area was uncrowded and was a nice change from the madness of the summer crowds that are Banff. After the gondola closes at 6:00...More

Words can't describe the views you get here from the viewing platforms at the top of the chairlift or indeed the walk around the 3 lakes. $42 per adult for a gondola ride up to a chairlift and in to the top where incredibly there...More

You start with a gondola ride that takes over 20 minutes to get to the ski area through the beautiful Canadian Rockies. When you arrive at the ski resort you feel like you have "arrived" do not know how else to put it. There is...More
