Took gondola to the top and walked up to cosmic station The walk down looked great but as I'd paid for a return on the gondola it seemed a waste So informative the boards at the top. Shame people had graffitied up there even though...More

We went up after taking a dip in the Banff hot springs. It's a nice steady walk up taking us just under 2 hours. You get great views on the way and we met some cute squirrels too. We got the gondola down, which is...More

We have seen the trail leading up on numerous occasions -- decided to hike it this time. The trail head starts off from the Banff Hot Springs parking lot (right by the gondola lift parking). There are no washrooms at the trail head so go...More

This is a five star attraction ...however.....While we have been up Sulphur Mountain several times before, this time was different. The 360 degree views of the various mountain ranges, Bow River and Banff Townsite are magnificent However, we were less than thrilled with the lack...More

A trip up the gondola isn't inexpensive but the view is worth the price. Many people choose to hike up the trail, which is also a nice option. The ticket line may seem daunting but it moves quickly and you can explore the area afterwards...More

We went to see the hot springs at Sulphur mountain. We thought it would be a natural environment and get to experience the hot springs. It turns out they redirect the water to a pool and people sit in the hot pool. There was a...More

Hiked the Sulphur Mountain recently after planning of more than 1 year. No, it's not tough and need more planning, just somehow it didn't happen. The hike is pretty easy but the view from the top is really beautiful. Some places it is bit steep...More

We took the gondola up and then took the boardwalk trail yo the peak of Sulphur Mountain. The views were obscured due to the BC wildfires, but nonetheless it was still magical to visit. We headed up around 5pm, so it wasn't too crazy busy....More

As a solo traveller I was worried about hiking alone but this is one very well trodden and rewarding hike, easily accessible from Banff town. To get there you take the Banff Gondola shuttle, which is free and leaves from the centre of the city...More

Absolutely, you can buy one way down no problem. Can't remember the cost and take about 9 minutes with an option of a picture purchase, or essential and no hassle. Enjoy
