All the amenities of a modern facility are featured in this splendid, historic spa and bath house—against a backdrop of spectacular alpine scenery. You will luxuriate in the comfort of soothing hot water where travelers have come to “take the waters” for more than a century. Banff’s premier attraction features: a day spa, outdoor terrace, Wonder of water hydrology exhibit and historic swimsuits (1920's) for rent. It also offers an outfitters gift store and the Upper Hot Springs Café.

We got there at 1:00 pm. Entrance fees, locker and towel/swimsuit rentals all very reasonable. Walked into pool down the ramp. Water at 39 Celsius. Compared to Radium Hot Springs in BC, the pool is tiny. The view was limited by low clouds, but should be good on a clear day. As we left, a huge group of high-school kids... More

Visited in the late evening in April; snow gently falling. The baths were busy but clean and efficient with all necessary amenities. I would highly recommend a visit to anyone staying in Banff. It would be difficult to spend a very long time in the water so frequent breaks are required and there were a lot of teenagers around when... More

We found it too crowdy and quiet dirty. Therefore we stayed only half an hour in the pool. We suggest to visit the pool not around 17h but earlier on the day or maybe later. History of this pool is very interesting and also the view at the mountains are realy nice.

Read some reviews where people compare Banf Springs Hotel vs Banff hot Springs. Yes, Banff Springs Hotel is great but sooo pricey and snoby. I am a Fairmont Platinum Member for years but lately I find you don't get your monies worth so I rather relax in the Banff Hot Springs and speak to nice people who don't show off.

Who visit areal hot springs will know that it is simply a hit pool fully of Chlore. They called sulfur bath but there is only chlore. I was very very disappointed.

Bathing at 38 degrees C outdoors at minus 2 and it's snowing is a great experience Easy to get to with a short drive or local bus trip just out of town and well worth it

The parking is limited, so consider taking ROAM bus to get there. The pool is great, with a fantastic view as you sit and enjoy the heat. Always feels better when the air is crisp and the water is hot! The pool can get quite crowded, but people are respectful about not splashing around - this is a relaxation pool,... More

There are no jets, you're basically sitting in hot water outdoors, with a mountain view. There are red plastic muskoka chairs you can lounge in to cool off for a bit. If you miss this, that's ok, your hotel hot tub is just as good.
