All the amenities of a modern facility are featured in this splendid, historic spa and bath house—against a backdrop of spectacular alpine scenery. You will luxuriate in the comfort of soothing hot water where travelers have come to “take the waters” for more than a century. Banff’s premier attraction features: a day spa, outdoor terrace, Wonder of water hydrology exhibit and historic swimsuits (1920's) for rent. It also offers an outfitters gift store and the Upper Hot Springs Café.

I visited the hot springs with my family this weekend and it was packed! They have separate changing rooms/lockers for men and women and you can rent towels and swimsuit at the facility for cheap. I would definitely recommend this place if you’re in the...More

Banff springs was ok, you couldn’t really smell the sulphur but it was amazing to be outside in a pool at 40 degrees. You can’t walk from town in winter it’s too far and you would freeze to death but the local bus stops right...More

We are blessed to be in Banff and have the opportunity to visit the hot springs! It’s an amazing view of the Rundle Mountain with the valley below. Quiet environment, definitely come by on a week day (mid afternoon) as there were only 20-30 people....More

What a wonderful way to unwind. The temperature of the water was a great balance for the chilly air above (and our almost instantly white frosty hair) and although it seemed we chose a busy afternoon to visit (with a Japanese tour bus visiting), there...More

It was incredibly nice to soak after a long day of hiking, and the facilities were fine. It was just very crowded. No sulphur smell bothered me, so that was good.

Highly recommend if you stop through Banff. Feels great after a day skiing in the mountains. More room to change in/out of shoes in change room is my only comment!

They don't do reservations at the hot springs. It's just like an outdoor community pool- arrive, pay and enter!
