We thought it would be snowy or icy, so we prepared Ice cleats and snowshoe. But we didn't think the trail is completely not accessible at all, it's fully covered by snow. We only took a washroom break in the parking lot. Definitely planning to come back in a summer time.

We have been before and very much enjoyed the scenery, complex and ice fields which is why we were going again. And even though they were closed this time the drive down route 93A is spectacular 👍😁

I have done this short little gem of a hike many times, in various weather conditions. It offers a much nicer view on a sunny day, but rewards your true adventurous nature on the cold, windy or rainy days. I wouldn't say that this hike is easy, because it does depend on your personal health and fitness level. It is... More

This is one of the best trails you can visit around, because is not hard and requires no much time or preparation. The views are spectacular and the trail is available to walk with no extra gear, I'll take at least 2-3 hrs to enjoy the views or even take a lunch up there.

They 4 minute journey in the jeep was great. The ice was very slippery one of our party fell over but very interesting to see.

The drive from Banff to the Icefields was breathtaking--a must see! The Icefields themselves were interesting. Overall, the site seemed a bit too over commercialized.

Better view than Columbia glacier with a little bit hike. Worth the effort. Cold and windy up there even in July.

Started this fairly short but steep hike in sunshine, albeit with plenty of clouds around. We continued around to the left, not the obvious path and the panoramic views of the Saskatchewan Glacier and snow capped peaks opened up. Lots of photos and then the weather closed in with rain and a significant temperature drop, so on with the coat,beanie,... More

Stopped along the 3.75 hr.drive from Banff to Jasper to do this hike on Tues. 13 Sept. The trail was moderately steep and muddy on the day we hiked. It goes up the north facing slope of a very big ridge that runs parallel to the Icefields Parkway you can see below. Once you get to the first level stretch... More
