I liked wandering around the marsh - sometimes it is just fun to get down and stare into the warm waters and see the tropical fish that thrive there (having been previously released by visitors to the site). I went down there after visiting the...More

There are so many things to see along this small easy trail! The boardwalk is well maintained, the waterfalls and streams are steamy and the plant life is incredible.

We ended up at the Cave & Basin National Historic Site as part of an all-day bicycle tour that started/ended on Tunnel Mountain Drive and included many sights and attractions in Banff. I'm glad we decided to cycle the trail rather than walk it because...More

We were fortunate to hike this trail just after the snow fell and were first to make footprints. It's a special feeling the sound when you crunch through the snow and to actually see the tracks of the animals that you would not normally see...More

Pleasant walk along river, beautiful clear waters, and very quiet. The odd canoe paddling by or the occasional horse riding sightseeing trip passing by. We carried on the the canyon which is a little steeper but pleasant shade and nice waterfall.

Except for having to sidestep horse doo doo, the walk was really scenic and well worth the effort (not a difficult walk at all). We took nice pictures of the mountains with the blue/green Bow River in the foreground.

Good place for a short wall on the flat. Lots of wildlife in the marshes and very picturesque scenery. Worth a visit.

This was a great place for an afternoon walk with the family. The trail is nearly all flat, and winds it's way around the marsh and along the river. Watch out for horse poo on the trail(LOTS), so don't wear your best shoes! ;) Be...More

The museum is much more interesting than this easy walk which follows a river but there are some nice views.
