Always amazed at the beauty of Bow Falls almost in the heart of Banff - when we were there no crowds and very serene with the falling water.

We took our bikes through the town of Banff thru to Bow Falls. The Falls are very pretty to see in the bright sun with the rainbow effects it casts. The water is very cold even though the air temp in July/August can reach 30C....More

We took a tour of Bow Falls and the sound of the waterfalls mesmerized us all. The scenery was spectacular and the surrounding area with the changing colors of the Aspen and Larch trees make it a photographers dream.

Hiked to the falls from downtown Banff during the first snowfalls of the season. It was freezing cold and overcast. Normally the falls are a beautiful greenly blue colour when the sun shines. They are not as spectacular when it is overcast. Still worth a...More

Just follow the riverside pathway from the end of Banff Ave towards the Falls(signposted)and after a not too long pleasant stroll along its bankside, you'll come to the "Fall",which start stringing themselves out along the river. Not the most spectacular,by any means, but worth the effort of the...More

Easy river hike to see falls and river banks. Right along the way to golf course. Nice car ride down the valley. Places to pull over and do hikes. Nice.

The paths are almost all paved and with built in steps so not steep at all but you need to be okay with stairs. About a 3 minute drive to the parking lot from centre of town.
