Nice falls to visit, not high falls but quite powerful. Should make sure you visit if in Banff. Easy to get to from the car park.

Bow Falls are an easy drive from Banff town center. The parking area is large but it probably gets crazy in the peak summer season. There are many areas surrounding the falls for some nice photos with no hiking required.

Just outside the town, beautiful place for a stop and view of the Bow river and these "Falls" - Not really falls but nice active river due to the many rocks below. All together, 40 minutes visit including the drive from town

This was an unexpected treat. We knew about Banff, Lake Louise, Moraine Lake but, we did not expect to see this. It is so open and lovely and the water goes roaring into yet another beautiful body of water.

Start at the end of Banff town and follow the trail to Bow Falls. Enjoy the sound of water as it flows. Stop along the way to watch the water flowing down the river. Rapids at certain spots.

Bow Falls are just below the gorgeous Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel, so if you're checking out one, you might as well check out the other. The views of the falls are amazing, and we love the little beach of sand that is on the other...More
