Bow Falls are an easy drive from Banff town center. The parking area is large but it probably gets crazy in the peak summer season. There are many areas surrounding the falls for some nice photos with no hiking required.
Just outside the town, beautiful place for a stop and view of the Bow river and these "Falls" - Not really falls but nice active river due to the many rocks below. All together, 40 minutes visit including the drive from town
This was an unexpected treat. We knew about Banff, Lake Louise, Moraine Lake but, we did not expect to see this. It is so open and lovely and the water goes roaring into yet another beautiful body of water.
