Peyto Lake has the most significant yet unique appearance look in the Rocky. Just a short walk from the parking lot, you will encounter a breathtaking scene of the Lake. A must-do for all visitors.

We first went to the official lookout, with the millions of others there. I had read about another lookout that proved very difficult to find. We spent 2 hours hiking the wrong path but eventually found the right one (which would have taken about 1/2...More

Beautiful views of Peyto Lake from a short hike. Highly recommend continuing on the trails, however, past the crowds and through the woods to another as scenic and less crowded rocky overlook.

About a 10 minute walk from the car park. Need to be ok walking up steep incline, but well worth it when arrive for the view. One of the best views along the rockies in my opinion

Highly recommend this stop going to/from along the Ice Fields Parkway. Short hike with magnificent views. Wish we had time to hike down to the lake and back as I'm sure the crowds thin significantly as you hike away from the highway.

the minerals at the bottom of the lake give it an amazing colour, the walk is short but you can walk around the viewpoint, really recommend this as a must

If you can avoid the massive crazy photo shoot tourists, you can really enjoy this lake. Also. the BC fire smoke really put a damper on the beauty of the lake view. Parking can also be an issue.

Very beautiful lake in a cat paw shape. The other side is the peyto glacier. It is a short walk to the view point. Many people get out of the trail to take a good photo. Get there early to get a parking spot.
