Lake Louise is world famous and for a reason... It's breathtaking and post card view in the backdrop of your photos will speak for itself. You can do kayaking or trial in the surrounding forest and mountains. Highly recommended for visitors to Banff/Jasper...

Lake Louise was stunning. We really enjoyed the hike up to the Agnes Teahouse. The food was delicious and well deserved. The hike was moderate if you are in fair shape, and definately worth it.

Lake Louise was easily the highlight of our trip. We didn't have much time so we only got to view the lake, but it was BEAUTIFUL. We went around 8:45am and it was quite busy, but the sight is a must see. Canoeing and kayaking...More

The combination of the lake, the mountains and the glacier are a lovely site to enjoy from one of the terraces of the Chateau.

Peak season so have to expect the crowds, but was slightly disappointed in lack of services- no coffee(!), food or clean toilets. Much preferred Moraine Lake for scenery and hikes.

The lake that’s on everyone’s must-do list for Banff National Park. It is worth seeing but expect to share it with a lot of others. Get there before 7am if you want to park and so avoid the shuttle bus from the village. Escape the...More

Cool lake, but too crowded with so many tourists. Come early or during the week so you could at least find parking.

It is always worth seeing Lake Louise regardless of the number of tourists, however don't expect any serenity or peace and quiet. The car park this year was full by 8.30 am, so you need to use the shuttle service to get there. The number...More

I went in April, I understand from my friends that live there that the parking gets pretty full. I haven’t been to Lake Moraine, but the main appeal (the color of the lake) is very similar. The silica content in the water... More

The best time is as early as you can go. The two hotels on the lake are very pricey. 2) Reasons. It gets really busy which detracts from the beauty of the place. So to get great photos and enjoy the lake it's best with as... More
