Words cannot describe the sheer beauty this lake and its surroundings possesses. The colour of the water is remarkable. This is a MUST VISIT when heading to the Canadian Rockies. Whilst not as hectic as Lake Louise, it is still a popular attraction and parking is limited so arrive early to ensure you don't get caught up in a large... More

Ten peaks around the lake, change color every day, Can also have a long or short hike around the lake. I like it better than Lake Louise

Get away from the crowds at Lake Louise and visit this lake. Visited just to take out a canoe! Summer 2011!

After we visited Lake Louise we drove to see the Moraine Lake. Moraine Lake is a glacially fed lake in Banff National Park, 14 km outside the Village of Lake Louise, Alberta, Canada. Due to elevation, the temperature is colder than at Lake Louise. It is situated in the Valley of the Ten Peaks, and it has amazing water colour!... More

In the summer, usually a lot of visitors. Recommend to walk the lake shore trail to the end of the lake, it's quieter and very beautiful.

This is one of the most stunning vistas you will see in your life! Get there early and use the shuttle. Hike to the back and find a place to sit and enjoy the view. The entire place smells like Christmas! You can't leave this place without having your soul moved. Lake Louise doesn't even hold a candle to Lake... More

A very nice place, with much to view and walk. There is a Lodge there if you want to stay. Also, there is a gift shop named The Trading Post, with a coffee/tea/snack bar. In fact, I felt in love with a beautiful lady working on there that made me a latte to get warm.

Moraine lake is fantastic and better than, the much praised, Lake Louise. It does tend to get crowded and carpark is not large. It was closed for much of the day due to overcrowding. It is best to go in the early morning or late evening.
