We were there twice. The room is small but nice and cozy. They charge the resort fee, so prepare you are going to pay $30 extra or so. During winter, they have ice festival, there's an ice bar in the garden and an ice castle on the lake. It's a beautiful hotel, but if you happened to be there in... More

Visiting Lake Louise and staying at the Chateau Lake Louise has become somewhat of a tradition both winter and summer for several years. Once again our stay was very enjoyable especially since we stayed on the Gold Floor where a buffet breakfast and some dinner time appetizers are provided. Several Gold Floor staff plus a server in the Fairview Dinning... More

It's always lovely to have a tour around the grounds of the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. In winter, you can go skating on the lake in front of the hotel or just wander around and check out the ice sculptures. In summer, you can stand in awe of that wild, weird, nearly opaque turquoise-blue glacial water. Even better, you can... More

It's a fairmont! You can't get better than this. Make sure to eat in the lounge and at the walliser Stube.

I have been here twice. I prefer staying in the old painters wing of the hotel. The staff is always friendly and impeccable. This is a great place to stay but, it is expensive. Especially if you are traveling with 5 children, which I was on my last visit.

My daughter and I went for tea this past weekend as a special treat. The service was excellent and my daughter had a great time. It was great that they had a special children's menu with child favourite versions of the adult tea service. I am celiac and booked our reservations the day before to ensure that they could accommodate... More

You cannot get over how beautiful the view is from the hotel and there are a couple of locations for dining inside that let you continue to stare at it and admire the scenery. We were there during the ice sculpture competition so the hotel and area outside were very crowded with tourists visiting the sculptures. However at night it... More

We didn't actually stay here. Just visited after skiing nearby. After seeing so many photos of the lake & hotel, we had to visit & see for ourselves. Scenery & setting is incredible. Inside of the hotel is everything you would expect. From those we interacted with, I would expect the service to be top-flight. Will have to come back... More

Spent the morning at Lake Louise skating on the frozen pond that the Fairmont has right out front of the hotel. We then walked across the frozen lake to see the frozen water fall. We chose the easier route along the edge on the way back as it was more packed down. You can also rent cross country skis or... More

This must be one of the most picturesque resorts in the world. The views are stunning and there are lots of easy winter activities. There is a shop on site where you can get your toys of choice -- skates, cross country or downhill skis, or snowshoes. We don't skate, but it was fun to watch the skaters on the... More
