we were a group of 40. We had the whole house to ourselves. We were all greeted at the door - ushered to the coat check area then allowed to go to the piano area for appetizers and drinks all while looking at the wonderful Victorian House and its Christmas decorations (very tasteful). We had wonderful appetizers - the mushroom... More

We held our wedding, reception & dance at Lougheed House. It was beautiful and staff did everything flawlessly, our night was pretty amazing and couldn't have asked for anything more. Kerri worked with us to have our food pub style like we wanted and everything loved the food and drinks.

This place is part of the history in Calgary. It is worth visiting it if you want to learn about the past. You need to reserve a head of time for eating at the restaurant.

This house is lovely! I did a self guided tour which was very informative. There is a rich history of Calgary and it was very interesting to learn about it!

A group of us went for lunch. The selection was small, so didn't have to linger on what to order, but we all enjoyed what we ordered. Worth going. We then took a guided tour and found out so Nancy interesting things about the Lougheeds. I had heard of this building but had never been there before. We enjoyed it... More

This house is a treasure. Owned by a local attorney and later politician, it is a masterpiece of carved mahogany and stained glass windows. Currently there is a bonus, a wedding gown exhibition. Self guided, audio, or guided tours are offered, I chose the audio. Very helpful but I was lucky and ran into an off duty tour guide and... More

Former home of Calgary's most important historical family; lovely restoration of interior with beautiful gardens surrounding. The exhibits are OK - I went to see wedding dresses, there were not many but the ones they had were nice to look at. The history of the house is fascinating but they could do a better job of filling in a lot... More

This historic site is also a charming restaurant. The house is surrounded by gardens maintained by volunteers. Parking can be a headache because the Beltline district has grown up around it, but there is some parking on site. Elevators make this heritage house wheelchair friendly.
