Overview
More
Every July, millions of people come to Calgary's Stampede Park to take part in one of the world's largest rodeos and other popular activities such as chuckwagon racing and agricultural shows. The event's origins date back to 1912, when American Guy Weadick, a successful trick roper, got support to host an event called "Stampede" to celebrate the "disappearing" Old West. Since then, the event has grown drastically and has evolved into a celebration of the Old West, while reflecting the modern, multicultural aspects of the city.

Over priced. Over rated. Underwhelming. The WORST and most BORING outdoor show on earth. It is the same thing every year with the only exception is the prices go up. It is filled with drunk, rude, ignorant and obnoxious corporate rednecks who have their hands...More

We had afternoon and evening tickets for the stampede. The afternoon was great fun with steer wrestling, and all the usual rodeo shows. The evening show was amazing, the best I have ever seen. Try to get seats under cover as the rain did spoil...More

This was my first Stampede experience and I will certainly be back! Everything from the quick entry to the clean midway and fantastic fireworks was above and beyond all of my expectations!
