The Glenbow is a first rate museum. There is a surprising variety of displays with a real emphasis on local history and Indigenous people. Do not miss this if you are in Calgary.

I have seen some large travelling exhibits: Group of 7, Rodin. Usually small shows though. Good gallery for a small city.

Lucky enough to tag along with my kids school trip. First time I had been to the Glenbow. And I want to go back. The tour glossed over some areas where I would have loved to spend more time. But the afternoon we had the...More

The Glenbow was a gift to the city of Calgary oilman by the name of Ian Harvey. It's floors whole his collection of almost everything you can imagine. It is completely fascinating and consumes the interest of young and old alike. As a wonderful presentation...More

It was a really cold day so we thought we'd check out the museum. Man we're glad we did, they have so many exhibits and things to see. Lovely mix between museum and art gallery. Definitely recommend a visit.

The Frida Kahlo exhibit was of particular interest. There was signage indicating that no photos were to be taken at this particular exhibit. We just walked in and sure enough, there's a woman taking multiple photos with her phone. Security was not in the actual...More

Eclectic collection and one should allow plenty of time. With only an hour and a half before closing time, we were rushed to see all of the exhibits.

We visited the Glenbow Museum to specifically see the Frida Kahlo photo exhibit. We were pleased to see the photos although we found the signage to be located quite low on the walls. We followed this with a quite visit to the early Canadian art...More

I spent 3 hours here and didn't even get to the top floor! I visited during the Frida Kahlo exhibit which was fantastic: an informative film about her life as well as a timeline of her life and photographs from her private collection (and a...More

I would say a minimum of 3hours. We really didn't allow long enough, just a couple of hours before catching our flight ! There are a number of thought provoking exhibitions and we really wanted to sit and reflect! Enjoy!

I saw a school tour and no daily listed tour. Group tours are available after booking ahead. Strangely enough, fees for group tours are higher than for solo visitors, $20 v. $16. Hope info helped.
