When you have the choice of everything from a thundering steam train to antique midway rides to beautifully preserved heritage buildings and homesteads, deciding what to do first isn't easy. Located in Calgary, Alberta, Heritage Park is Canada's largest living history museum, with hundreds of exhibits, rides, shops, restaurants and daily demonstrations and activities to keep the young and the young-at-heart captivated in the past. No two days at the Park are the same, so come back as often as you like for a history lesson you won't find in any textbook. Our operating season is from mid-May to early October each year.

The prices may seem a little steep but it includes the train ride, hay rides the fair ground rides and I believe the paddle boat as well. EXCELLENT value for your money and no child has to be sad because they didn't have enough money...More

It’s a great day actually. Very well run. Authentic. Walk through history. Updated with a few simple rides now that my kids loved once admiring old times became to much same o same o. Adults will love it. As will kids. Wagon rides. Etc. Fun...More

If you’re looking for a fun place to learn about old Calgary and some history about cars, this is the place to go. Definitely more kid friendly than expected.

There is lots to see at Heritage Park. Our favourite is the Historical Village. There is always a lineup at the bakery and for good reason.

very nice day trip for children. Interactive activities interesting shopping and restaurants. A whole day could be spent at this venue.

Take the LRT (train) south, get off at heritage train station then either a cab or bus straight to heritage park! Hope this helps! Cheers

Not 100% sure, but pretty sure the answer is no. You would have to have special permission and probably be escorted.
