There are ponds filled with cattails and during the summer Red Winged Black Birds bob and sway and nest amid these reeds. I've seen ospreys here several times - the river runs alongside the park. There are neat water paths created here and if you're interested in ecosystems or permaculture it might be worth checking out. It's really been designed... More

Absolutely love this park! Great location, close to downtown without paying for parking. Enjoy parking the car and biking in. Kids playground, water bird areas and walking trails are a few of the amenities at this park.

We walk our dogs through this park almost every day. It's a beautiful green space in the heart of the city. Lots of areas for picnics and exploring. Our favorite thing is watching the ducks especially every Spring when they have their babies. A great place for young children to learn about nature.

We were there for a reason - our son's wedding. This seemed like a nice park but we did not see as much of it as we might have otherwise done for two reasons. We were there for a wedding, after all and it was raining at the time. Oh well. The wedding proceeded and everyone had a great time... More

This is a really nice place for a family to spend the day. It has a little fishing pond, many walking paths and a Visitor Centre which charges a fee. The only negative is that the sound of the traffic on Deerfoot Trail is very loud and annoying when you are down by the river but in the middle of... More

Park is located very, very close to the busy road, so it's almost impossible to just sit and rest by the river. All you can hear is a noise.

I love this park! It is well-used by picnicking families, walkers and local people walking their dogs. It is full of lovely big trees. In the last decade or so this park has been converted into a wetlands, this has made it a wonderful place to view ducks and other birds. Part of the park pathways travel along the Bow... More

I frequently go to this park just to walk or to have a picnic. It is amazing that this is in such a busy area but can be so quiet. I go there at times with my family for picnics.

I am fortunate to overlook the park and travel through it daily. Nature, people, wildlife, fish, fish, fish and great spot for people watching.
