This is a must-see place for anybody interested in military history, as there are memorials to Canada's fallen from all the major wars, starting with Boer War, then WWI and WWII. The park encompasses the Memorial Park Library, lots of benches and grounds, war memorials,...More

Avery nicely laid out and well maintained park in the middle of Calgary. Pleasant walkways, lots of fountains including one that you can paddle in. It has a small bistro and plenty of seating.

This place is just a few steps from the canyon-lands of downtown Calgary, at the north end of the fabulous 4th Street boutique and restaurant zone, and 2 blocks from the nearby Lougheed Mansion and gardens. But it's worth a visit just for itself. The...More

Very nice memorial to the fallen people in foreign wars. WW1, 2 and Korea are memorialized on the obelisk in the middle. Grounds are nicely kept and makes for a nice area to sit in the afternoon of evening hours.

Central Memorial Park is a wonderful place in the city. It's gardens are beautiful, and it is a nice location to just relax, or serves as a great meeting place. I would definitely recommend a visit here!

Nice chill spot within the city to sit by fountain to relax. So peaceful the fountain sounds. Diverse crowds but overall the spot is never super busy. Green grass is always nice for a barefoot earthing walk to connect to Mother Nature.

This is a wonderful place! So much to see in such a circumscribed place. If you are hungry, Boxwood cafe is a great place for a meal. The new Marriott Residence Inn is across the road, and 17th Avenue eateries are close by.

It's quite simply laid-out, but this park really works a public space and public place. Of course, it's best in the spring, summer and fall, but it has its beauty in winter too. The public library provides a focus on the east side, a high-end...More
