We come here often too in the summer. Lovely park, simple and peaceful even though it can get real busy real fast. In the summer season, come early in the morning to guaranty a good picnic spot and parking. We had to park on the street out of the park once as it was so busy. The park is fairly... More

After the flood, Bowness Park was completely transformed into a family friendly and beautiful destination. You can enjoy canoeing or paddle boarding on the lake and waterway. Or just feed the geese as you enjoy sitting by the lake. My favorite is to walk the perimeter of the park in a loop along the Bow River and water way.

Bowness park is a place where you can take a walk or play games. They have a small train that you can ride around the park on. In the summer you can rent peddle boats or canoes and even use there fire pit for a BBQ. During winter you can skate on the lagoon and sit by the fire. they... More

Review of Seasons Restaurant In Bowness Park: Chicken skewers appetizer to share was $12 for miniature pieces of tough and over done to outright burned. The 3 were each the size of one's small finger but shrunken. Black grains of wild rice were scattered over the dish and were pebble hard and about 8 in number. Others tried the corn fritters... More

Sunday Brunch, went in after a walk in the park. Rather rudely greeted by the Manager/Supervisor who handed us off to a hostess who seated us on the patio. She left us menus, came straight back with cutlery and glasses and that was the last we saw of anyone. We waited for 15 minutes for someone to come to the... More

looks like they did a good job rebuilding the park after the big flood tore it to shreds. it's as green and welcoming as it ever was, and the restaurant and snack shack are both very nice. staff are always great. i'm thankful it's back up and running again.

My first time here and there are so many places to walk and enjoy. Trail is marked and you will see walkers, runners and maybe even some wildlife. Take time to spend time in this lovely park

Wow! So much to do there! It has been revitalized since the flood, lots of barbeque pits and picnic tables, nice new bathrooms, and a nice wide biking/walking pathway. There is an amazing new playground, and many big fields. Amazing local attraction. The best part is it's free!

Our family attended Bowness Park for a birthday celebration and it was wonderful. The park is so peaceful and yet there is plenty to do with it's bicycle paths, children's parks, rafting or canoeing on the river, the little train that you can ride around the park, and more! We found a spot with two picnic tables and had a... More
