South Glenmore Park has a large diversity of landscapes. The west end is very woodsy and borders on the fabulous Weaselhead Natural Area. The middle section has lots of benches, a picnic area, a children's playground, the sailing marina, and great pathways. For most of South Glenmore Park, there is a developed upper pathway as well as one closer to... More

South Glenmore Park is a gem, tucked away from the bustle of 14th Street. It's excellent from a bike ride, run or walk, proving a massive loop track. The tennis courts are well maintained and fairly busy on summer weeknights. The views from this park are underrated. Look to the west, and it's a beautiful look at the Rockies. Look... More

peaceful on weekdays- lots of nice scenery. Big loop walk or cycle. Never park at Glenmore Landing- find other parking lots best

Nicely developed children park with variety of activities. This section itself has possibility to jog around, which I did. However, a nice jogging track has been developed around the nearby lake, where many were seen, jogging, walking, cycling etc. Nice facility for parking provided. Rtn.J.Ganesh

Calgary is blessed with so many beautiful parks, and Glenmore Park (South) is one of the best. Picnic areas & walking paths galore. The view of the Rockies is spectacular.

There is a great playground area for kids, it's worth even a 20 or 25 minute drive to get there. It features a lovely dock area, boat launch, rentals are available. It's free, it's fun, it's something different if you just want to get the kids somewhere for an hour.

If you are looking for something to do without spending a lot of money then pack a picnic and enjoy a day strolling around Glenmore Reservoir. There is a great pathway system with good parks along the way and lots of boats in the water to look at. Bring a frisbee.

My walk on a Chinook warm day began at Heritage Park where we parked for free and began in the Railway Cafe for coffee and a bathroom break. The walk from there to the Park at South Glenmore took me about 45 minutes. Though it is closed in winter, there is a path around this part of the reservoir down... More
