The views of the city and the river from this trolley car are absolutely amazing. This is also the best way to get from the farmer's market to downtown.

In the mid 1900's there was a trolley service in Edmonton. A bridge was built over the North Saskatchewan River to accommodate both the motor vehicle traffic and the Train as well. Most interesting of this bridge is the fact the train tracks were in fact buit above the vehicle traffic. This is the same today. A restored trolley car... More

some thing to do in summer in Edmonton. Okieshhh. Tickets are not expensive. Staff operating the train is friendly. Reminds the old days. Suitable for all ages. Better to ride the train after the fun day activity of fringe festival. I would say kids will love it. oh and they only accept cash no debit or credit card.

We took our guests on this inexpensive ride across the North Saskatchewan River. They loved it. The conductor was very informed and made the ride even more pleasant as he answered our guests' questions. The streetcar ride shuts down at Thanksgiving so you will have to wait until spring to enjoy the spectacular view.

The Edmonton High Level Bridge Streetcar offers a very affordable experience of yesteryear. It is operated by a group of dedicated volunteers, who always make an effort to ensure that your trip is both enjoyable and informative. It is a great way to see the river valley, particularly in the fall when the fall colours can be spectacular.

My girls and I like to catch the train close to the legislature and take it across the river for some ice cream. I love to hear the history of the trains and the area from the conductors and enjoy the view as we go over the river.

This historic tram is with out a doubt the best unsung trip in the city. The view from the High Level Bridge is worth the price and is an unsurpassed view of the river valley.

For a nominal Fee you can see the beauty of Edmonton from atop the High Level Bridge, roll into Old Strathcona for the Farmer's Market and ride across the top of the River. The trolly is well maintained, easy to access and a true nostalgic trip/

This is a great train ride, not just for kids, that is affordable too. We did the round trip from the Old Strathcona area , and got off in downtown for a walk (we found an Ice Cream shop just down the road from the train station, with great Ice Cream, lots of flavours, all home made). This train ride... More
