We were pleased to see all that Fort Edmonton had to offer. The facilitators in each of the buildings did a good job and stayed in character throughout which must take some doing. Was truly disappointed that although there were settlements etc and tents there were no First Nation People at all. When i asked where they were I was... More

Plan to spend the entire day at the park. Arrive when it opens. Bring a water bottle, sunglasses, sunhat, sunscreen, sturdy footwear and a stroller if you have small ones. If you are on a budget, pack a lunch and plan a picnic. Even if you aren't on a budget. There are plenty of places to enjoy a good old... More

We went for a live stage show and were amazed at all the history here. The street car was fun to ride. We will be going back this summer

Interpreters, the buildings and everything in between bring to life Edmontons history in an amazing way. There is a fascinating amazing of knowledge held by staff about their characters and struggles as well as the actual history of the time period. Fort Edmonton does an amazing job of really bringing the history to life in fun and creative ways! I... More

It is always refreshing to spend the day experiencing the vibrant history of Edmonton. Best to be prepared to spend a long day in order to experience all of what it has to offer. This is a fun historic sight. From riding an old steam train, to the actual fort and its history it was fun. There is much to see and do, rides for the kids, a playground, picnicking, stores to shop in , just great

I love taking my out if country relatives to this place. It gives such an awesome history if the start of Edmonton. Went last Christmas when they opened to show Christmas back then. All the family had a blast. The photos are from Christmas time. They had a fiddler in the hall playing music. The other is the "school teacher"... More

Fort Edmonton Park is an easy way to enjoy a step back in time and to learn a bit of history. The train ride from the entrance station to the fort sets the tone and provides amusement for young and old. Recreations of the fort structures are meticulous. The actors in period costume maintain good humour as they explain the... More

Thanks so much for this review! Happy to hear you enjoy visiting Edmonton's past. Particularly glad that you mentioned our Hotel Selkirk, Interpretive Staff and the overall atmosphere of the Park. Most of our buildings are either original Edmonton structures or re-creations of them. Thanks again for your review! More

A great place to spend the day. Do feel though that in comparison to other activities a bit pricey for 1 adult admission and 2 kids under 5.
