Recently attended my cousin's high school banquet here and I was reminded of why people continue to rave about the conference centre. The service was speedy and professional. My cousin forgot to order me a vegetarian meal but they remedied that immediately and with no qualms. The food was tasty and I love that Halls B and C had high... More

This is a wonderful center overlooking the river. Airy and cheerful. Rooms are well appointed and equipped. The only problem that I had was that the escalators were continually closed off, and the elevators not readily visible.

So much light. What a view of the river and green areas in Edmonton. Good hot coffee in HUGE urns (Starbucks) so they don't run out on delegates. Good food (multiple salads and braised root vegetables for lunch? Oh yeah). Easy to find restrooms. Digital displays everywhere. I was impressed how active their Twitter account is and how they engaged... More

I attended an event in the Riverview (or maybe Riverside) Room and was surprised to find that they set the stage behind and between two very large square pillars. Our table and a few others couldn't see the speakers, which were the focus of the evening. We did enjoy the river view though, and the lovely patio. The meal was... More

If you have a large party to plan - 500 people this is a great location. View of the River Valley from all rooms and public areas is great.

If you have zero issues with mobility, then the Shaw is a great venue! Huge rooms, tons bathrooms, great service, lots of room even at a busy event. The stairs though are difficult if you have issues with mobility. Friday we had to go up three flights, to go back down three flights and then again at the end. Escalators... More

Lovely building and great venue for any convention or event. The catering provided for our event was good. Very clean with a gorgeous view of the valley. Currently under mild construction for another elevator as well. Close to many local eats and shops as well as local transit and hotels. My one and only complaint is the very strong smell... More
