Like a lot of central city squares, this one depends on what is going on. We were there on an autumn Sunday morning, so there was not a lot to speak of, but the square itself is well designed and nice to look at.

This square is a nice place to take a break from walking the city. It has lots of benches to sit down and nearby cafés offer the corresponding liquids.

During the summer the square is always busy with festivals and events. Some nights there are free movies. There are paved areas for games and such, with a nice grassy area on the east side, city hall and water feature to the north as well...More

Great family events are always happening here. There is always security around and they usually have portable washrooms in the area. In the summer the wading pool is open at city hall which is a great place for the kids to cool off.
