Great place to go for a walk. Lots to see! And in the spring/summer the fountains light up with different colors. Haven't been inside or anything, but no need with the sights to see around. There is also a shallow pool that people like to walk in to cool off in the summer. It's been closed for repairs, hopefully next... More

I arrived later in the evening when it began to snow. The grounds were great to explore and I enjoyed the area. I was a little surprised at being unable to park on the grounds, however I managed to find parking about a block away.

Had a great experience, attending the Legislature and question period. Very interesting to watch our hard working MLA,s ask and answer questions during a very raucous debate.

As an Edmontonian the Legislature is one of my favourite places to visit. The grounds often have some great events or live music on, check the legislative assembly website over the summer for a schedule of free concerns. The building itself it a real rarity in Edmonton for it's fantastic architecture. The building is stunning with a tonne of marble,... More

went on a staff tour...ELAINE was fantastic as a tour guide! Staff are so friendly there. Give you a different view of government in some aspects. Loved all the pictures of people from the past that were in Leg. Educational for the whole family - everyone should go at least once in their life time.

Similar to most of the government provincial centres in the prairies. However, beautiful grounds at Christmas, with the trees lit and a lovely view of the valley. In the summer a safe place to walk with children as no cars. Need to check re touring the legislative buildings.

The leg grounds are really a hidden gem. Unless you're told about the place why would you go there? Well, the fun starts on a sunny day. The pools get so packed with families but it's so great to see. And now the the federal plaza is open there is fountains up top. Don't forget to visit it during the... More

Once a party gets kicked out of office, they have never gotten back in. This is one of the interesting historical tidbits that does not bode well for the Progressive Conservatives. Tour guide went above and beyond and shared his passion for history. I highly recommend this for all you history and political buffs out there.

People take their wedding and graduation photos at the grounds at the Legislature because it is a large beautiful park. I used go through them twice daily, and Christmas is one of my favourite times. There is a large skating rink with heated change shelter in the south grounds, and from last weekend until February the trees are lit every... More

Alberta's provincial history under one roof. Be sure to take the informative guided tour of the building. If the weather is nice you want to walk through the grounds as well. One can easily spend two-three hours on site. Spectacular!
