Nice blue lake, which has an interesting story about how it disappears and on how the lake is formed. Nice spots around the lake for viewing wildlife, we were lucky to be able to see an Eagle’s nest.

We drove past this on the way to Maligne lake and got some amazing pictures. The contrast of the water and the snowy mountains, reflections and flora. Not sure what you can do on the lake, but its very pretty,

Strangely not the most photogenic lake in Jasper National Park, though only for the amount of competition. We liked going to Maligne Lake first (it is on the same road) and then working our way back to Medicine Lake, while stopping on the way to...More

Stopped here as we were on our way to Maligne Lake. Interesting lake that drains throughout the summer/ autumn. The burnt trees surrounding it (from a lightning strike) gave it a slightly mysterious feel. We had a lovely stroll along the water's edge and stopped...More

We went by it on the way to Malign Lake. The lake was just beautiful beyond word. It had snowed for a couple of days before, in September!, the bank was covered by snow and there was ice and snow on the water.

It doesn't take that long to look at Medicine Lake and I wouldn't call it a destination by itself, but we found it to be very pretty and a good stop as we worked our way along Maligne Canyon Road. There's at least one nesting...More

We weren't aware of this lake when we were heading to Maligne lake so it was a breathtaking surprise. The light was perfect and it was just a sight to behold. Take a few moments to drink it all in when you see it!

This is called "The Disappearing Lake". That fact was the most interesting about our stop here. The surrounding scenery of the Canadian Rockies does not disappoint. And there are trails from this lake for the longer-range hiker. Not much for the tender-footed folks however.

I don't think it matters. There is parking. We saw two brown bears and the eagles nest. Absolutely exquisite place to see. A must!
