A real gem

Very accessible by passenger car from the Klondike Highway. The road beyond gets very wild and might not be suitable for everyone since it lacks services.

Neither words nor even photos are difficult to do justice to the Park's wild beauty on a sunny day!! I resorted to a coffee-table-sized book, "Along the Dempster", to capture the views in the Park, created only in 1999. The southern border is only about 50 km from Dawson City. The Park is laced with trails described in the book, but... More

We took an RV trailer there for 3 days. Incredible scenery. We arrived around 4 pm on a Friday and got the last available site. There is an overflow area where you can spend one night (no fire) before getting a site the next day. Like all the territorial campgrounds we used, this was excellent. $12 per night and includes... Pictures cannot do this place justice, nor can words, really. Stunning views, winding gravel highways, and nothing but the sound of the wind whistling through the spruce. Winter views are spectacular.

Not too sure at the beginning about visiting this park mainly because of the bad weather, but fortunatelly we did. Even with the rain and low clouds, it was an unforgettable experience. We can't imagen how impressive must be in a sunny day, specially in the fall. Looking forward to visit this park again

Tombstone is 50 km up the Denoster highway towards Inuvik and another 40 east from Dawson city. It takes roughly an hour and a half to get there. I would recommend getting gas before heading up and making sure you drive accordingly to roads conditions. The road is well maintained in the park but there are plenty of pot holes... More

We took advantage of booking a tour with Husky Bus to Tombstone Territorial Park since we had an entire day to spend in Dawson City. Holland America did not offer a tour there and as it turned out we were glad because we had a small van, a small group, and a great time. The day was perfect, the fall... More

We were there for just one day so we made the best of and hiked both the Goldensides and Grizzly Creek to Monolith mountains. Good moderate hikes with superb views. Overall a great day!

Getting to Tombstone Park can be a challenge, but it is worth it. The park is so pretty, especially in the fall with the leaves in all their glory! The Rangers were very knowledgeable, we did a walking tour with them, and we also had tea and fry bread that they made for us. We did not see many animals,... More

Totally amazing place for those who wants to see true wilderness, love hiking and mountains and dislike crowds. We travelled all BC, Yukon and Alaska and this place was definitely highlight. Sooo happy to spend there about 7 days in total, 3 days in backcountry. Eventhough it is so remoted we are already planning to come back one day;)

Thank Eva Š
