Just a mere 20 minute drive west of Kamloops, lovely Lac le Jeune is a wonderful place for the whole family to enjoy! The lake is gorgeous, has a swimming area, has a dock for fishermen, or one can launch a boat for water activities. There are picnic tables scattered around for anyone's use. You can rent a canoe at... More

Stopped by while exploring the road to Calgary. Loved the peacefulness, the lake and scenery. Its a nice stop for a picnic or some downtime away from just zooming along the Highway.

Good place to go during the winter as it is not open or plowed. Not supposed to do it, but quite empty making it a good off leash dog walk.

I went up with my family to Lac le Jeune recently to do some ice fishing for the first time and I must say the lake delivered. We caught three fish and they made great meals! The Lake wasn't too busy and we had lots of room to set up base with three holes and a fire. While we were... More

Lac Le Jeune area has a wonder old abandoned ski hill and the area still offers some great trails to get out and do some snowshoeing. There are a variety of trails to explore but should make sure that you have a map as they are not well marked. This area appears to be dog friendly as well.

We go out to Lac le Jeune a couple times during the summer, great place for a picnic or BBQ. They rent out kayaks, canoes and stand-up paddle boards to explore the lake.

What can one say about Lac le Jeune? It is a place close to my own heart as i have fished and camped there for many years. The provincial Campground is fantastic and easily accesible but be warned it can be very busy in the summer so planning ahead is a good idea. The fishing is outstanding....at times of course....
