Went hiking in the hills (Mara trail) and saw this little ghost town below us. Hopped in the car and followed Tranquille road all the way to the end where we found Tranquille Farm or "Tranquille on the Lake" MTV filmed some ghost things here a couple years ago in the basement of the doctors house, theres a corn maze!... The drive out Tranquille Road is scenic and relaxing, passing along under hoodoos at Cinnamon Ridge and ending at Tranquille Farm Fresh, site of a condemned TB Sanitorium. It's reputed to be among the most haunted places in Canada. You can't go into the old Sanitorium building because it is in disrepair and has asbestos warning signs all around. But... More

Beauty abounds around the old Tranquille sanitorium and institution which closed in 1984. History is interesting, and the views are amazingly gorgeous. Hike along the lake, view the old buildings, explore the undergroung tunnels, and corn maze in the fall (only by Admission).

Living in Kamloops there are many stories connected to the Tranquille property!. This fall you have the opportunity to check it out for yourselves, as Tranquille Farm presents an interactive "play" entitled Crossroads. During the hour long entertainment you meet characters who actually lived when Tranquille was the site of a TB hospital. Be sure to dress warmly and definitely... More

We recently went to the new tunnel tours, we chose one of the later times at 8:45 pm. It was a nice tour seeing a small part of the tunnels. The tour was a theatrical presentation with lots of historical information. The tour wasn't scary, I really think they should make it more of a Halloween theme! Over all something... More

The market here is quite small but offers some lovely food. Great pumpkin patch in the fall! We also loved the tunnel tour, great information and really cool to hear about the history of the farm.

The history of this place is so interesting. Read up on it. The tours and experiences here are always a blast. I can't wait for the corn maze again this year, a great family outing.

we came upon this smaller market and stopped in. The selection was smaller, but they are still growing the business. It is a nice stop along the way to pick up some local produce.

Small but quaint. Prices were high. The farmers markets are better. Hope this place improves. Need to go back and see if this gs have changed. Nice drive

what a great night! We signed up for the 6:30pm tour which was so beautiful as we got to see the sun set over the mountain and then enter into the tunnels right as the sun went down. I really enjoyed the story that was shared and the history that was offered. What an interesting place that I highly recommend... More
