My Mom loves museums, was the curator for our home town museum and put a lot of effort into it. She genuinely enjoyed herself there and loved the information on the local geography / animal life. There was a school group going through at the time and of course kids aren't the "quietest" and there's nothing wrong with that! The... More

What an interesting find. Learning about history and taking in the archeology teachings here is very intriguing to me. It can be overwhelming howeve. There is a lot going on here visually with artifacts surrounding your every being. Take time for this one, you will need it. Think I will return another day to reabsorb all I took in and... More

We found this museum almost by accident. It has a diverse collection of exhibits. Two of the more interesting ones are a replica of a sylix (First Nation) winter home built underground and a panoramic photo of Kelowna from the early 20th C.

Walked around downtown Kelowna and visited a few museums. Definitely worth it. Easy to walk from place to place.

While walking around downtown Kelowna we happened to stop at this museum -- and are glad we did. Although this museum is relatively small, the exhibits depicting the history of the region and Kelowna were very well done and interesting. Upon our arrival on Wednesday morning, 3 August, we were warmly greeted by a lady at the front desk who... More

Can't really complain since it is free and usually it is hard to have something interesting if one does not have the funds. basically mixed bag of exhibits including some Chinese items ( from old China Town? ).

Enjoyed our visit here, interesting displays telling the past story of Kelowna. Entry is by donation, a small but intriging place - well done!

My visit to the museum was interesting however i wanted to find out more about the first nations, and was disappointed in the virtually non -existant information about them and the history. there was a very interesting structure about the floating bridge though!

Nice building, but nothing exciting in it. A mishmash of native history, old maps, stuffed birds and chinese items. Also a small sports hall of fame.

The museum is small and entry is by donation. The exhibits are really interesting with a good variety for the size of the museum as well. Definitely worth visiting! The Kelowna China Town is particularly interesting because many would otherwise have no idea the city used to have this district!
