Peace in the middle of town

I often took my Elementary School classes here as most of them didn't even know it existed. They enjoyed their time watching the Koi and having a peaceful lunch.

I recently went there with a friend who had never seen the gardens. I being an avid photographer just loved the water scenes and the different shrubs and trees which were of a japanese theme. We decided on a boxed lunch and were able on arrival to find a really nice bench in which to eat at. The peaceful atmosphere... More

We stumbled upon this beautiful garden while cycling downtown Kelowna one day. It is a peaceful and serene Japanese garden located right by Kelowna's city hall. Despite all of the concrete construction and machines that make DT Kelowna a noisy and ugly place, this is one spot where one can relax and enjoy the tranquility of the waterfalls, and plant... We found this while looking for a place to take a short break from shopping along water street. It's very calming and just 1 block from the main small shops.

This is a really lovely garden and very quiet and peaceful...right in the middle of downtown Kelowna. I have not been there in the winter but the Spring, Summer and early Fall it is lovely. If you just want a quiet moment, this is it! if you enjoy the plants it is also perfect! If you want to sit down... More

Located in the downtown area of the city, this luxurious and well maintained garden, is an artistic palette of lush vegetation. I will go again often, and sit and knit on a strategically placed bench, pretending I am in some otherworldly realm.

Lovely oasis in the middle of town. You can spend as little or as much time as you need. Nice place to take a rest in the middle of a busy day. The garden is gorgeous and inspiration for my own yard. I go several times a year.

Despite having a map, it was a little difficult to locate the entrance to this lovely little garden. We finally noticed a small sign a little way along a path perpendicular to the Queensway. It is a very peaceful spot, with a little Zen garden, bridges and koi pond, perhaps not as perfect as a garden in Japan but certainly... More

The authenticity is limited due to Canadian climate friendly construction. Colors are subdue and layout and detailing is lacking. But credit should be given for a good attempt.
