Take a walk through the cottonwoods as you follow the windy paths that pass over bridges, by the river, through a green grass field and over streams. While you are there watch for wild birds, squirrels and such as there always seems to be bird seeds and nuts for these little guys. Another thing to do is look up because... More

Stop at the visitors center and pick up a map for where the carvings in the trees are located and then get your group to stop them. We had great fun!

We went for a run through this park on our visit to Prince George. It took a bit to get there from our downtown hotel, but once we did, we totally enjoyed running along the river!

We were looking for a nice quiet place toward the dog and maybe give her a swim. This is the place to go. We went 2 days in a row..

We had a lovely stroll through these beautiful trees along the river. The biggest treats were coming up on small decorated areas (gnome city, a Canada tree, and various face carvings in tucked away trunks). A very pleasant, restful walk for us. We really enjoyed having this opportunity while we were traveling.

What a lovely walk among the cottonwoods! We enjoyed the subtle tree carvings and the "fairy houses". Pity some people have been removing the trinkets there. However, the natural setting was a bit dampened by the off-gases from lumber processing. A great spot for a picnic and a short walk. Accessible for strollers.

A most enjoyable walk. Met a few talkative couples along the way. Was informed, after our walk, about the face carvings so, we weren't looking for them. A beautiful walk regardless. Highly recommended.

We went for a stroll with the dogs after visiting the adjacent Railway museum. Located along the banks of the Nechako River where it joins the Fraser it is mostly treed, but it also has some nice green spaces. Great for a picnic. Trails are well maintained and we spotted birds and squirrels. Lots of off-street parking available.

Well maintained trail system for biking or walking. Watch for carvings in the trees, as well as fairy neighbourhoods, and beach access to the riverbanks. Perfect place for a picnic or to go bird watching.
