Overview
More
Long Beach, the longest beach of Pacific Rim National Park Reserve, spans an extraordinary 16km (10mi) along the west coast of Vancouver Island. Described by locals to be magical, you will be astonished by the amount of life that call the tidal pools home. You will be sure to find crabs, shells, starfish, sea urchins and much more. As the surf comes crashing in, you will find surfers from around the world carving through the peaks of the waves. As the water settles, it gracefully rides up the beach with peaceful trickles and shimmering light from the breathtaking sunset crossing the colourful horizon. Long Beach is truly a rejunivating getaway for all ages. Whether you're looking to kickback, explore, adventure, hike, surf, or just take one of those long walks on the beach, Long Beach has it all.

We saw many surfers taking classes and it was particularly delightful to watch the wee ones frolicking about....Although cold & windy, they had on their wet suits and seemed to enjoy themselves!

It seems all the beaches in the area are long, so not sure why this one got the name. Either way, it's a long, beautiful beach. We enjoyed playing in the sand and watching surfers.

We stopped here on our drive up to Tofino. I was surprised at the sheer size and length of the beach itself. We enjoyed walking a few kilometres, looking for shells and discovering the washed up remains from the tide the night before. Looked liked...More

Our Family has been here a couple times and always are taken by the beautiful rugged coastline of the west coast of Vancouver Island. The beaches are huge, but always have a storm wind. Lots of parking, washrooms, and trails to get to the beaches....More
