My partner and I did the 2.5 hour tour with TJ, Ben and Kevin and thoroughly enjoyed our time on the ocean. We saw some great sights; Dead Mans Island, seals, 4500 year old village, eagles and nest. It just so happened that we were the only people on the tour (it was average weather). But nevertheless we had a... More

We chose Black Bear Kayak after reading many positive reviews as well as for the great value (Shorter harbour tour in Ucluelet was the exact same price). We embarked on the Meadres Island tour (4 hours) and had perfect weather to accompany us. Our guide TJ and his trusty Kayak guide dog, Sawyer were the perfect hosts. We never felt... More

Matt was an awesome guide!! We really enjoyed his company and he made us feel very safe even if the current picked up. It was one of the nicest kayaking trips I've been on. DEFINITELY worth it for a day excursion in Tofino! As we kayaked back in to the docks, two sea lions even swam by!!

Our lovely german tour guide TJ has shown us Tofino's most magnificent places and it's most beautiful coastal animals. This kayak tour was absolutely worth it and we can highly recommend Black Bear Kayaking. Interesting historical facts, easy and relaxing atmosphere and confident behavior definitely affirmed our decision.

We took a 2 1/2 hr tour with TJ on a grey November day and it turned out to be the highlight of our stay in Tofino. As our guide, TJ was very professional, knowledgeable, and thorough. As a person he was friendly, charismatic and just a fun guy to hang out with. Our time flew by but he was... More

We had a completely fantastic experience on the sunset kayak in and around the Tofino inlet with our guide TJ and his four-legged kayaking companion Sawyer. :-) TJ is a super knowledgable guide that you will get you comfortable in a single or double kayak in no-time. He takes care in making sure each guest is prepared to enjoy the... More

My friend and I were able to go on a kayak tour to Meares Island this month with Colin and Jon and it was seriously one of the best parts of our stay in Tofino. They shared so many stories about the area and totally made me fall in love with Clayoquot Sound. And the wildlife!! Great Blue Herons, endless... More

My boyfriend and I had a great early morning 4 hour kayaking trip with Claire. The sun was shining and the water was totally flat, we couldn't of wished for more perfect conditions. Claire was really friendly and knowledgable. She had some great stories to tell us! I would highly recommend this trip!

I had the chance to do the 6h kayak tour with Black bear Kayak this summer and it was amazing! We were only 3 people so I went in a tandem kayak with the guide, Hunter. He was the best! The landscape was incredible! Thanks for this wonderful trip!
