I hadn't been to Vancouver in 18 years but this beach was on my must do list. I like the fact that it's more hidden than most of the beaches and feels more away from the city. The sand is great, the water seemed pretty clear and felt fantastic on my tired legs. The only thing I found odd was... More

Best beach and acre swim pool. You have it all here. Also the tea house restaurant for brunch, lunch or dinner. Love this pool as it sits right on the ocean and you have a wonderful view of vancouvers skyline! My fav!

A Favourite place with the locals and tourists alike - in the summer the pool is open and in the winter it is just a nice place to walk around on your walk along the sea wall.

When on this beach it pays to watch where the locals sit on this beach. The tide range is over 9 feet. Thus if you setup your sitting area too close to the water line the tide rushes in while you scramble higher up the beach while the locals watch and laugh.

Vancouver’s largest drum circle gets together on Third Beach in Stanley Park every sunny Tuesday in the summer. If you have a drum bring it and enjoy and if you dont , you can join the crowd and dance or stand there and listen .you may find this experience quite unique.

This is an iconic part of Stanley Park. If you have time while in Vancouver, you MUST visit Stanley Park and take in all of the sights. Third Beach is a great spot to hang out and relax.

Lovely, quiet beach in beautiful Stanley Park. You can drive, walk or ride a bike here. Great for a family outing or just a nice relaxing day at the beach. Great views, too!

Third beach has the advantage that (of all Vancouver's 10 beaches) you get the feel of being -outside- a big city, due to the location of the beach, on the rear (west-side) of the Stanley park forest.

Staying in Stanley Park

Neighbourhood Profile
Stanley Park
Stanley Park is Vancouver's premier spot to get up close and personal with nature and animals. The grassy expanse offers outdoor teahouses and stunning views, beachfront hideaways and splash parks. It is a typical getaway spot for friends and families, especially as it is home to Vancouver's aquarium, and some of its best equestrian outlets.
